Bamboo has countless uses. It is especially used in pulp and paper manufacturing. It can be used for clothing manufacturing as well. It can be fed to livestock instead of GMO corn. It can be used as a building material. It can be made into a plastic, and since bamboo shoots are a nutritious food, bamboo is really the answer to global poverty.
Bamboo is grown without pesticides, insecticides or fertilizer, and it sequesters more carbon dioxide than other standing trees — taking in 400 percent more greenhouse gases and producing 35 percent more oxygen.
